There has been an update on MsMai's daughter - she has been diagnosed with (go to link at bottom).

It is not well known and my hope is that everyone here will read it to gain knowledge about the disease since it is often misdiagnosed.

They are hoping to get her into Johns Hopkins since they have a history of treating patients with the disease, and she is being scheduled for a brain scan at Washington Hospital Center.
