This is a different way to season green beans besides simply buttered.
1/2 pound fresh green beans washed, and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
1 tbsp canola or light olive oil
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/3 cup water
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
Alternate, add a 1/2 tsp sesame oil to the water, ginger, soy sauce mix.
1/2 pound fresh green beans washed, and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces

1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/3 cup water
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
- Heat the oil in a non-stick skillet, and the green bean pieces. Cook, stirring constantly for 4 minutes.
- Combine the water, ginger and soy sauce, and blend together with a fork.
- Pour the ginger seasoned sauce over the green beans, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes or until beans are crisp but tender.
- Add a little more soy sauce when serving.
Alternate, add a 1/2 tsp sesame oil to the water, ginger, soy sauce mix.
