Ingredients:
1/2 k. beef, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. rice wine or sake
1 tbsp. soy sauce
dash of pepper
1/2 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 pc beef cube dissolved in

1 cup water
2 tbsps. rice wine
2 tbsps. oyster sauce
salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 head lettuce, leaves separated

Directions:

Marinate beef in mixture of the next five ingredients on the list. Set aside for 35 minutes.

Heat the cooking oil and stir-fry beef quickly just until it changes in color. Combine beef broth, rice wine, oyster sauce, seasoning, sesame oil and cornstarch. Pour over beef. Bring to boil, and cook just until sauce thickens.

Blanch lettuce leaves quickly in lightly salted and oiled water. Drain well and arrange in serving platter. Spoon beef onto lettuce. Serve immediately.
