Here's a homemade hot sauce that's nice on tacos or other southwestern foods.

large onion, chopped fine
small can of tomatoes, chopped fine
small can tomato sauce
small can of tomatoes with jalopeno peppers
1/2 to 3/4 cup water
5 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp ground cumin
3 cloves garlic, minced

Cook onion in water until tender, Do not drain. Add the other ingredients, and sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper. Cook for 45 minutes. Let cool and store in refrigerator. Keeps for 4 to 5 days. Or can to keep longer.
