Flank Steak Teriyaki

1 large flank steak

Seasoning:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger root, minced

  1. Score the flank steak about 1/2" to 3/4" in two directions and on both sides of the steak.
  2. Mix the seasoning together.
  3. Place the steak in a ziploc bag, and pour in the marinade. Place in refrigerator for at least an hour and up to 4 hours. Turn over the steak every hour of marinating.
  4. Broil for 5 minutes on each side, then check for doneness. Cook longer as needed.
  5. It's important to slice flank steak diagonally cut through tough fibers in the steak.
