1 bunch of fresh asparagus cleaned & chopped and cut into 1 in. pieces
1/2 med. onion diced
1 lg. clove of garlic chopped fine
1 stick of celery diced
1 piece of crystalized ginger chopped into fine pieces
1 tsp McCormick Roasted Garlic & Bell Pepper Seasoning Blend
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp. safflower oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
pepper to taste
Heat safflower oil and saute chopped onion, garlic, and celery until transparent. Add the asparagus and ginger cover with a tight lid and steam for a little bit to soften the asparagus. Add the soy sauce and pepper cook covered until most of the moisture is evaporated. Add sesame oil and toss to mix well. Turn off heat leave covered until time to serve. Truly a different and unique flavor, the sweetness of the crystalized ginger and hint of ginger flavor lends a unique quality to the asparagus.
