Creamed Corn Bread

Ingredients:
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1-3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup applesauce
3/4 cup skim milk
2 egg whites
1 15-ounce can creamed corn, optional

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly spray an 8" by 8" cake pan (or equivalent iron skillet or other oven-proof pan) with vegetable oil and put into the oven to preheat. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, pour batter into heated pan and bake for 20 minutes.

9 servings: Per Serving Cal 127; Fat 1 gm; Sat Fat 0.1 gms; Chol 0.4 mgs; Sod 444 mgs; Carb 27.7 gms; Dietary Fib 2.4 gms; Sug 5 gms; Pro 4.3 gms. This recipe is 7% fat.
 
Star-Cinnamon Soft Bread Sticks
Ingredients:
1 (320 gms.) pack soft bread sticks, about 8 pcs.
1/4 cup margarine

1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:

Melt margarine in a microwave oven or in a saucepan. Brush onto bread sticks. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Srinkle on top of bread sticks. Let stand for about 30 minutes or until bread sticks have dried up.
