    Default Kabobs

When I make kabobs, I like to make a sauce to coat some of them with. So, I will put the ingrediants on skewers, grill, then liberally coat with a spicy type sauce as a final stage of cooking. I like to use "peanut sauce" to add a little kick to them. Have any of you tried anything like this before, and if so....what type of sauce do you use.

MMM yeah I love having them with satay sauce or anything with garlic in it! I love to make lamb ones, cook them so they still have a pink centre and have them with a minty yoghurt sauce!

Can you share the whole recipe for making kabobs? I've been thinking about these lately, and came across your posts. I've had kabobs in restaurants that were great and would love to learn how to make them at home and in a way that would taste just as good.

    For cinnamon:

    CHICKEN KEBOBS

    INGREDIENTS:
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup water, part pineapple juice
    1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sugar or artificial sweetener
    1/4 cup wine vinegar
    1/4 cup sherry
3 boneless chicken breasts, cut in 1-inch chunks
    1 8(oz) can pineapple chunks
    3 medium apples, cubed

    PREPARATION:
Whisk together soy sauce, oil, water (or pineapple juice and water), garlic, sugar, wine vinegar, and sherry. Add chicken, pineapple, and apple. Marinate for 20 minutes. Alternate chicken, pineapple and apple on skewers.
Broil approximately 15 minutes, basting occasionally with marinade. Boil marinade for a few minutes and serve for dipping, if desired.
    Serves 4.
    I hope it'll help

I'm lazy, so I usually make my kabobs with sausage. For other ingredients; usually tomatoes and onions. Sometimes bell pepper. Marshmallows for desert!

Kabobs are awesome they are great when you have guests over. Every time the grill is set-up and it's a nice day out, I try to make a few for the family. There as good as burgers, well at least to me.

Is it possible to make kabobs without the skewers?
If not, where can I buy them and what kind would be the best - metal or wooden. I really like kabobs and won't to make them at home.

Is it kebobs or kabobs? I'm confused.

I love eating kabobs especially seafood kabobs. I have not tried putting peanut sauce yet. What exactly is a peanut sauce anyway?
