Default Southern Spice Rub

This is for when you grill steaks.

2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespons chili powder
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle and rub the mixture on both sides of steaks just before grilling. Watch the meat while grilling. The spice rub should darken, but, you don't want it to burn.

This sounds like an interesting mix of spices. It appeals to me and sounds similar to the McCormick Santa Fe seasoning. I think I'd leave out the salt, but other then that this looks like something I'd eat all of the time. I'll try this next time I BBQ and report back.
