I went to a get together yesterday and they served lamb chops, chicken and other good stuff. Well I thought the lamb was steak. It was so good and I have got to find out what type of marinade they used. All the meat was like seasoned throughout the meat. MMM!!

I think it's best to marinate foods overnight to allow the flavors to season the food. When you marinate this long, it's best to make the marinade from scratch because the grocery store mixes are concentrated to make up for the short marinated time.
A nice simple marinade would be something like this: 1 tsp ground white pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce 1/4 cup lime juice This would be enough marinade for 1 pound of chicken and would make a great barbecued chicken meal. |

GRILLED LAMB CHOPS
This is simple and delicious. The marinade can be used for chicken or pork. * 4 thick lamb chops, trimmed of excess fat * Dijon mustard * Balsamic vinegar * Rosemary * Minced garlic * Olive oil * Salt and pepper to taste Spread chops with a little of the mustard. Sprinkle with vinegar, seasonings and a little olive oil. Turn to rub in both sides. Let marinate about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the grill. Grill chops over high heat until done, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. ~~~~~~~~ |
