2 lbs beef liver, cut into strips
2 large white onions, cut into thick strips
1 lb fresh white button mushrooms,halved
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp minced garlic

Saute all in water/butter/olive oil until liver is cooked through, about 20 minutes. salt and pepper to taste
