Crock Pot Chili

2 lbs. some kind of beef (whatever looks good steak-wise), cut into chunks (or we've browned hamburger or sausage instead)
1 can or bottle beer of your choice
1 lb. bacon, diced
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 big can chili beans
1 small can tomato paste
1 big can tomato sauce (you may not want to use it all, according to how tomato-ey you like it)
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
Chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, pepper to taste

Here's what we do. Cut up the meat and put it in the big crock pot; cover with beer, cook overnight on low. In the morning, add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on low all day.
