I love this story as well as the comments on this cake. It got me to thinking...how about a watermelon cake? Or some other such puree? I am enthralled with the idea of a Grandmother and her granddaughter making this special cake, and only at a special time such as a thunder storm! Why could I not do this with my little one? Perhaps it would become a family tradition!
