>I am sure they will rebuild quickly.<

I'm sure they will, about ten minutes after the insurance check is written.

But this reminds me of the old vaudville routine. I won't type all the dialogue, but it goes something like:

Two guys meet in Miami. Haven't seen each other for a long time.

"How's business?" Sam asks.

"Didn't you hear? sez Max, "We had some bad luck. Had a fire that wiped us out (here insert long litany about what the fire did).

"What about you, Sam? How's your business?"

"We, too, had some bad luck. We had a flood that (insert tale of woe here).

There's a long pause. And Max says:

"Tell me something, Sam. How do you do a flood?"

[quote=KYHeirloomer;23044]We don't eat fast food at all.

For starters, McDonald's hamburgers make me sick. Literally. I get a queezy stomach, borderline naseua, and a headache.

Me too. Since it almost all contains wheat but even still I wouldn't eat it. It doesn't fill me up. It's a million calories and I'm hungry again in an hour or two. If we are on the road for a long time we will normally stop at a mid-range place like Appleby's or PF Chang's. It's still not great but I have a better chance of being able to get a piece of grilled fish with some steamed veg. At Appleby's they even have a petit fillet with mushrooms, broccoli and potatoes on their low cal, low fat menu. That is my favorite thing to get there. If we aren't traveling then there is never any excuse for us to resort to fast food. There are many cheap ethnic restaurants in Columbus which serve healthy foods. There is a lebanese restaurant here which is one of my favorites. mmmmmm mujadara!

Jfain oh how envious I am, you actually have a Lebanese restaurant How fabulous!!! I would actually make a point of eating once a week at a good Labanese restaurant if they had one here!!! Our big ethnic restaurant here is a China something or the other very mediocre food at best

I prefer my own food 100% over anything at a restaurant anyway

Get this TONIGHTS MENU:

Chicken Tagine with preserved lemons & green olives
Fresh from the garden Green Beans
Fresh from the garden Steamed and carmelized Eggplant
Fresh from the garden sliced tomatoes
Mashed Potatoes
Sliced Avacado
NOW TELL ME WHAT RESTAURANT OFFERS THAT????

It seems it never burned after all. They tore it down in to put up one of those new McDonalds they have totally redesigned. From what I have read Im not sure how well one of those will go over here. Three different types of seating areas with wifi available. The one here in town gets a lot of business from people after church and parents who take their kids to hit up the playplace. Im not even sure if their new designs include a play area. They said they are tring to make it more like Starbucks. I doubt they are going to let people have little kids birthday parties there anymore if they are going for a Starbucks kind of feel. I found a few images of their new building online and it is very different than what we are used to.

It really doesnt make any difference to me. Jon and I may go there 2 times a month and we always do the drive thru then.
