Talking Favorite Halloween Movie?

Have a favorite scary movie from when you were a kid?
My all time favorite is one that came out in 87..I think lol. It was called Monster Squad. It wasnt really scary so much as funny. I remember when I was really young and we used to watch these old horror movies on late night tv. This guy dressed up like Dracula used to host it. It was called Chiller Theater. We watched the old werewolf and dracula type movies on there lol.
I like the old scary movies more than the new ones. Most of the new ones are just blood and guts. Jon found Monster Squad for me on dvd last Halloween lol. I really love The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jon got me that one for my BD.

Good question Janie!

I am having a very hard time deciding my favorite scarrey movie but in the old movie category it would have to be "The Birds" by Hitchcock and more recently "Room 1601" or something like that it was great!!!

I enjoy "Beetlejuice" & "The Addams Family" for horrific laughs...

...and if I have someone near to share the fear- all of the Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal movies too- Yikes & Yowza!

I like The Birds too but I have never seen 1601. I will have to check it out.
Beetlejuice and The Addams Family are classics. I like them both.
I like Disney's Halloween Town.

I love all the old B & W classics and those hysterical 50's/60's movies - The Blob, It Came from outer Space, etc.

I loved Bettlejuice, The Addams Family, and all Disney!

BUT the one that scared the crap out of me - HALLOWEEN - the original and of course - Psycho.

I'm really not into gory movies. my favorite Halloween movies are things like Corpse Bride, The Nightmare before Christmas, Bram's Stoker's Dracula and of course Beetlejuice and the Adams family. Personally I don't understand how a movie like Saw is entertainment but I know some people like it. To me it's a bit like the Roman's watching the lions devour people. Kind of sick to think of as fun.

I have friends who watch those creepy/gory movies. If absolutely forced- I can join them, but they really whack me out! Especially 'Saw' and it's sequels. Those movies- along with "Hostel" and it's sequel are by far the worst I've seen! UGH!

I won't be forced. I saw that Japanese version of Dark Water on Halloween four years ago and it was so disturbing it bothered me for 6 months. No one can force me to go through that again. I don't want to be desensitized to torture and pain.
