Griz, I saw some show about These Stars. I don't know about now but just a short time back Rachel Ray didn't have all the support staff and big kithens and camera crews all these other chefs have. It was to my understanding she had one other person and a very small camera crew that put her show together compared to the 100 or so people working with lets say,,,,, BAM.
Thats pretty amazing to me for starters.
I will say though that with what is out here as far as technology, it isn't hard by any means to come up with new and creative ideas. Especially if your career depends on it and your under the spot light.
I think that Rachel Ray bit off just a little to much to chew with her other projects to actually devote her time to what really made her a star. It's a shame.

How many things has she got her hands in? I see all the Dunkin Donut spots, pet food commercials and she has that net work program now. She has her 30 minute meals and she was also doing a travel type show. There was also some show, where she would go to some city and have to eat on some type of budget, all her meals for the day.

Maybe Rachel does have just a skeleton crew- and again, I ain't trying to be mean or knock her, necessarily. Heck- I like alotta things about her. I just figured especially w/ Oprah's Mega Harpo Studios and King World Productions behind her that the show'd be a l'il more close to awesome. Most non-foodie folks dig her show, though. Maybe I'm just jaded.

Lol, I think people like her because she talks so fast, crams so much material into 30 seconds and her hands fly faster than her mouth and go into every direction her mouth can't take her in.

janie & jeff- I wouldn't worry too much about HAIR. I mean- of all the things that can hide in food- at least hair can be seen and picked-out!

My hair is very curly and fine but I have alot of it. When ever I brush it I get it everywhere. Jon says I have Bon Jovi hair lol. When I made cake rolls during the holidays I bought new dish towels to roll them in. I was afraid the others may have hair on them.
If we could see what goes on in the kitchens of most places we would all probably eat out less lol. They just converted our Dairy Queen to a Dairy Queen Grill and Chill. I think all of those are non smoking which makes me happy. The other Grill and Chills we have been to all have awesome food. Our old DQ was such a smoke den we havent been in there in years.

And IC we just can not forget her magazine, why heck add that to everything else the poor gal must be plum dizzy!!! I know I would be, but heck she is climbing that ladder to success and riches so it must certainly be worth it!!!! What's a little quality lost in the process

Which leads me to another TV station HGTV...they have a new show with some chick named "Tashiana" whom is a real estate agent. Well she speaks about how little time she has for her girls while she is clawing her way to wealth for them and hopes they will understand Give me a break please...we all get rich for our kids sure I really believe that line!!! Her ego trip YEAH most likely! Plus she is a shrew at home you should hear how she acts out at home, if I were her husband I would throw myself in front of a Mack Truck!!! LOL

When my 9 yr old and I were discussing this show and I made the comment about the Mack Truck she said "No way, I'd throw HER in front of the Mack Truck!!! That's my Girl! LOL

Rachael Ray must be loaded by now. She has no kids to leave her money to. It makes you wonder why she takes on so many jobs.

I could swear that when Rachael was doing that travel show every once in a while they would show her having a meal with her husband and a daughter or two. I could be mistaken.
Who does she make all that Mac And Cheese for? I thought a lot of her 30 minute meals were planned for kids and the busy lifestyles around kids. And all them ice cream deals she throws together? That's kids written all over it.

She does not have any kids. It is just her and her hubby along with their dog.
She has done a couple episodes where she cooks with kids but they are not hers.
