Smile Have you heard of an unusual cheesecake?

    Hi everyone,

A friend heard about an unusual recipe for root beer cheesecake and has asked me to make one because he wants to see how it tastes. Has anyone else come across cheesecakes that are different from the ones you normally hear about?

I think this sounds incredible, cheesecakelady! Rootbeer? YUM!

I have many cheesecake recipes that aren't that unusual, really. And I love'm all. Your friend's recipe sounds the most unusual to me...

The strangest cheesecakes I've made was stilton cheese cake with port glaze and goat cheese cheese cake with rhubarb compote. Both were delicious desserts though.

Giada De Laurentis is always making odd savory cheesecakes.

These actually weren't savory cheesecakes. They were dessert. but I have made a savory cheesecake too. It was great. It was southwestern style with no crust. When it's done you just poke corn chips in the top for presentation.

I would love the Stilton cheesecake- YUM! I make a savory smoked chix cheesecake w/ tomato coulis that's always been popular... and a smoked salmon w/ dill cream...

Also- Giada? Has anyone seen or tried her holiday treat from the Oprah show? It was a panini or sourdough bread, brie, a hershey bar and basil leaves? As whacko it it sounded- it got RAVE r eviews from O. and all who sampled it!
