lol I talked to the 5 year old on the phone. My husband is already telling her he is gonna eat all of her chocolate before she gets here. I got them up on a shelf to keep them out of my dogs reach.

He is just teasing he is not serious is he?

He is teasing. He loves to pick on her and she picks right back. She told him yesterday she wasnt allowed to tell people to shutup. Her Mama told her Uncle Jon is the only time she is allowed to tell people to hush lol. Boy she let him have it after that. She started the whole thing a few months ago she came in and Jon was in the bathroom. My niece snickered and went to the bathroom door and ask very nicely if he needed a diaper. Ever since then the two of them pick on each other nonstop.
She may get her wish about staying in on Halloween. Her mother has a cold she cannot kick so if it is colder that 45 that day Im gonna keep them in. I will rent a game for the playstation and get some Halloween DVDs. They can hang out here for a while and have some of their candy then go to my FILs for pizza before they go home. I checked the weather up til the day before. The day before it is supposed to be in the 60s with a 30% chance of rain. Hopefully it will be as warm on the 28 when they trick or treat here. It is scheduled from 5:30 - 7:30.

That is just wonderful that they can play word games with each other, I admire that because my father and I have just about the same relationship we are extremely close my mother said that when I was a baby I cried all day and as soon as my father came home from work she will just hand me over to him he will lay on the couch and I will be on his chest no crying mind you and literally grabbing onto his t-shirt my mom will try to get me off unfortunately she was not lucky, the reason for such detail is to show you that my father and I bonded from birth and still is today he is 87 yrs young if you know what I mean I love him unconditionally forever.

I can't wait to see the two year old try and carry the bucket of candy I have for her.

jglass I meant to ask why are the kids carrying a bucket full of candy? We collect candy to put into our empty buckets, the best part, is when we come home, and look at our pile of goodies, eyes gleaming, licking our lips, we dive into the pile and yummy up our favorites, of course next day we are sick, but it's worth it, just once a year to indulge our chocolate habit isn't too bad, then we promise to behave, sort of, chocolate lovers you understand. I usually have a large basket of mostly all types of chocolates a little bubble gum and kids candy, because I have found that kids love chocolate, now most homes that we visit, they put the candy in our buckets, my preference is to allow the kids to help themselves, so I offer them my basket and they can select as many chocolates their little hearts desire, the smiles and thank you's are priceless. Shopping to buy chocolates is the best!
