Has Anyone Seen This New Food Network Show?

Never been a sports fan, per se- but I've always enjoyed figure skating (go figure! ) Has anyone seen Brian Boitano's new cooking/entertainment show? Can he even cook? Or is it all a fiasco? Frankly, I was a little shocked and confused when I saw that he had a cooking show! Is he living up to a decent standard of expectation- or is he a joke?

In this month's issue of one of the cooking mags (cannot recall which one- I just quick-glanced thru it at Border's...) they showcased his home kitchen- which I really liked. Not sure if they film the show from his San Francisco home kitchen, or not... But it's a lovely, homey place w/ lots of appeal...

Any thoughts/critiques/opinions?

I have seen it Kev. I don't care for his cooking because it is all little bites for parties but as a host I think he is tons of fun. He is really funny.

I have seen this show a few times now. Can't say that I care for anything he makes because it is all fancy little bites or something for a dinner club he is trying to get into. Not my style of food at all.

We have dinner at my father in laws on Sundays when this is on. After we ate a few weeks ago I turned on the FN and this show was on. My FIL is the type who never says much especially about someones orientation between the sheets BUT... this host is so flamboyantly gay even my father in law asked what the heck was I watching. The first few times I watched he was entertaining and sorta funny but the last couple of times his style of hosting was just annoying. Now he is sporting a soul patch which I think is the dumbest look on any man I have ever seen. I will not be watching anymore.

I saw it for the first time this evening, and was not at all impressed so turned it off! Too wacky and silly for me to really get into!

Jon and his Daddy are so different I always tell his Daddy that Jon looks enough like his Mama to be hers but if I were him I would have demanded a test lol. They are not much alike. Jon has a sense of humor that tends to be a bit colorful and his Dad is Mr. Uptight.
Jon's brother is just like their Dad. If his brother had to spend much time around me he would have a stroke with my sense of humor. His wife is very quiet but I think with time I could corrupt her.
