It's just that I'm old enough to have seen what this great country used to be. It's not the world I grew up in. I've watched our society go from self sufficiency to one of entitlement. There is no sense of working for a goal or a common good. It's all me, me, me.

I don't think space exploration is a waste at all. Humans need a challenge or we get stagnant, it's just how our species is wired, and I'd rather space was the challenge rather than seeing how many others we can kill in ever increasing wars. We have the time and resources now to develop the technology to expand off the planet but that window won't stay open forever. Humanity either grows and expands outward or faces extinction.

So, I keep it all bottled-up and only explode around those near and dear to me! Ha!

That is how I am too Kev, it is hysterical! Guess those nearest and dearest know us well enough to let it roll off their shoulders, and keep on loving us despite everything! There's a nice comforting security in that..knowing I can vent to my loved ones is a privelage.
