Well, the whoppers didn't kill me, but I'm glad so many of you were interested enough to read this and reply.

I too am a sucker for fast food, especially Taco Bell and Subway. I've never gotten food poisoning from eating fast food. One time when I was little kid, I got it from eating some bad fish at a restaurant in Myrtle Beach.

Glad you are OK! It was a most interesting topic, we all like to eat out but often times regret it afterwards! That is the really sad part!

I believe that the worst place for picking up food poisoning are those nibbles placed on the bar in some pubs.

Also I think that the reason why the fast food chains are so poor in this country is that British people are so bad at making official complaints also the customer service ettequette has yet to properly cross the Atlantic and definatley has not reached Wales at all. Shops, take-aways, fast food places, are so rude to their customers. We even have a time limit on supermarket parking spaces. If you take more than 3 hours to do your shopping Tesco will have your car towed away and a fine of £60.00 around $97.00.

There was an interesting little article on fast food on-line today it kind of says it all in pictures check this out: Picture Show: Visions of Fast Food | GOOD

The funny thing is to notice the congealed grease atop the hamburgers!

^That was pretty nauseating. The main reasons I enjoy eating Taco Bell and Subway over other fast food joints is that their ingredients always taste and look fairly fresh and they I don't feel like I have a coating of grease on my face and hands after I'm done eating.

Fast food? I'm purty tight w/ Popeye's chicken and McDonald's double quarter-pounders. In fact, we're real, real close friends- that chicken, the burgers- and I!

Hey Kev - is that sorta like the 3 Stooges??? I'm sorry - but I'm in rare form today and I just couldn't resist it! I'm just teasin' ya!

BTW - back to the old musicals - doesn't three remind you of the Triplets in That's entertainment?

"MGM may have a Leo but mama has got a trio and we do everything alike - Oh - we do everything alike, we look alike, we walk alike, we talk alike and what is more we hate each other very much, we hate our folks were sick and tired of jokes telling they can't tell us apart! We eat the same kind of viddles, we sit in the same kind of highchairs...."

I've never had Popeye's chicken - there is none around here - but I have had quarterpounders - which I call ratburgers fried in sludge from Mr. Oil Change - never had a double - don't know if I could handle one........

^I swore off McDonalds, because of what it was doing to my stomache every time I ate. As bad as the aforementioned whopper experience was, it didn't compare to some of my encounters with the Double Quarter Pounder...that thing is not meant for human consumption.
