with cheese, and I'm not talking Juniors either. Feeling very large right now - I might die, but I'll probably be ok.

This brings up an interesting question for everybody. What's the worst fastfood experience you've ever had? Sure, we've all gotten the runs before, but nobody wants to hear about that. I want to hear about E. Coli horror stories and the like...let's go

Not a very appetizing thread for a food forum.

well - funny you mentioned whoppers - I was out shopping several days ago with a friend and we stopped for a "quick bite" - all I had was a whopper - with cheese - and I was kissing the porcelain God that night - thought I did die - was so sick I wished I would die to get me out of my agony -

do you think I will ever eat another one?

    NOT!!!!!

I don't get along with fast food places - how much harm could a flame-grilled burger do?

    LOTS!

I am still scarred by the red blotches around my eyes from the "violent attack" yes - it was something I never experienced before and I did have food poisoning twice and salmonella once in my life - and I thought those were bad!

    next subject please............

I love whoppers from time to time! I am so sorry you got sick MamaM!

I have had a few bouts of food poisioning my worst was from Oysters Rockefeller at a fine dining facility. I am not eating oysters these days as a result!

Fast food has never really bothered me, I have been lucky. But of-course I do not eat it alot, it is usually a big disappointment!

Thank you and thank you also to Cathy.

I'm not a big fast food junkie - maybe that is why.

But I have had several experiences with food courts, fast food joints, etc.

I think they are out to get me cuz I'm a homemade cook - or else my innards are spoiled.

    Most likely!!!

Off subject but: Do you remember when they 1st came out with Mountain Dew? There was a slogan printed on the outside that said "It'll tickle your innards"! I remember the first time I ever saw that and I burst into laughter!!!

You just made me think of that Mama, maybe your innards only get tickled when it's home-cooked foods only! Hey that slogan gave me an idea for a new thread! Go see it....I will call it Jingles by jinky!!!

I very rarely eat from those places, mainly because they are pants. I will have something from there if I really strapped for time.

A big whoppa or big Mac or Colonel Sanders, not for me. I don't think the franchise travels well.

If you American folk ate one of the Whoppas or big Macs in the UK you would be horrified. They are served tepid, the filled buns have really been hanging around in a warmer somewhere or a very long time. The salad, if you can call it that is warm, limp and watery.

The only thing that is nice is a thick shake, and only then when I have a sore throat.

I admit... I'm a sucker for fast-food! Maybe it's just that cooking for one is just so impractical.

My favs are KFC and Popeye's fried chicken, and McDonald's DOUBLE Quarter-Pounders! Also- have you tried McDonald's new Angus burgers? I love the Mushroom & Swiss!

I've only suffered food poisoning twice in my life- and both times it was from the buffet at Pizza Hut. I have to say- for chain pizza, I still love Pizza Hut, though!
