it's supposed to hit about 3 this afternoon with 6 to 8 inches expected - living in the snow belt - that means well over a foot

leaves are on the trees - I don't like this one - I'm expecting no power again

Hope you dont loose your electric Mama.
Today it is 39 with constant pouring rain. I think a pot of soup is in order and some homemade bread.

Good minds think alike, janie! I simmered-up a pot of split pea soup w/ some ham hocks tonight at home. It really hit the spot and warmed the soul- not to mention the roof of my mouth! Then a l'il later when I called my sister she said she too had simmered a pot of homemade soup- she made chicken-veggetable for her kids. What did you end up making?

I made chicken and stars soup from RR's Comfort Foods cookbook.
I got the stuff at the store to make brownie biscotti today.

Isn't it terrible that snow has started a bit early, on the news last night they were showing New Jersey with snow. I love snow mainly because I was born in the Caribbean and Iam still amazed when I see snow falling, I begin to jump up like a child rushing to put my clothes on to play, now cleaning the snow is a different story, luckily our maintenance crew does all that before we awake, and of course there is an additional fee for that luxury, but its worth it.

Ugh it is cold here today. It is in the low 30's and very cloudy. Supposed to be in the 20's tomorrow night. I cannot get over how early it has gotten bitter cold. Last year we were still having 80 degree days up til like the 20th of October.

tell me about it - and no hope of even having a day or two of Indian Summer this year! The furnace has been on since the last week of September - I'm just hoping the leaves drop from the trees - if not - with enough snow we will be in trouble

Our heat is on too, and I went to take the garbage to the dumpsters by our garage my fingers were frozen, my darling hubby and I are so upset because we wanted to take a ride on our new motorcycle but it is uncomfortable riding in the rain, this weather has just cut short our riding days.
