Most of ours now are General Electrics. They are 1100 watts. Since we have to use so many in our business..we buy them at Walmart. They are only $68.00. We have three out of our 8 that are still originals. That is not too bad since they have heavy use as we are open 7 days a week...and use them constantly.

I only use mine for reheating. Never really tried to cook in one

I use it for defrosting, reheating and making frozen convenience foods like burritos.

I mostly use mine to reheat things. Sometimes I'll use it to melt cheese on a sandwich or to cook things that can be cooked quicker in the microwave than in the regular oven. Especially if I'm in a hurry.

I have a problem lately with mu microwave. If I use it to rehaeat anything in it, that thing becomes hard. I don't understand the reason behind it. Can anyone help?
