It is beautiful!!!
About the only negative review at Amazon was the small font. It is small, but to me, not a problem. And, it is a big, heavy book. How big would it be without smaller font? And, certainly would not want to sacrifice any of the amazing photographs! This was from a private seller, not Amazon direct. Seller said book was like new except for some water damage on on fly leaf and tears on dust cover. Water damage is minimal and have to look for tiny tear. This was from SortFloorBooks.com--got nice note and discount coupon for next order. I have had excellent experience with used books from Amazon's dealers. Only thing one has to watch, is how much is the shipping? Once it a while the total is close to a new book with free shipping if it is $25 or more. This was $10.95, S&H $3.95?. New price $40.00. enjoy, Nan |

You know, I never consciously noticed the smaller font.
To be fair, though, it's only used in the recipes. Viestad's incredibly evocative text is in normal size. As, as you say, the small typeface isn't that big a deal. Wait until you've had a chance to make some of his dishes. You'll underestand why, all in all, I consider it the best "cookbook" published in 2007. |
