2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup pumpkin
2 eggs
raisins

Sift together first six ingredients and then set aside. Cream 1/2 cup shortening. Add 1 cup sugar. Add 1 cup pumpkin and eggs. Mix well slowly add dry ingredients. Add raisins last. Drop cookies on a cookie sheet by the tablespoon. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Makes 3 to 4 dozen Pumpkin Cookies.
