Sweet William's Chocolate Cookies

2 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 pound package chocolate bits (melted)
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans, optional

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add sugar, stir in melted chocolate bits, chopped pecan nuts and pure vanilla extract. Bake on brown paper 10 minutes in a 350° oven. Remove very quickly with a metal spatula.

Yes. It's a chocolate and nut "cookie". Nuts in chocolate might be the better description.
