I've never tried it. I wanted an ice cream maker, but after having one that completely didn't do anything really but make a mess... I gave up on it. I might have to get this..my daughter would have a blast helping out.

Do you know the price range of this?

I don't have one, I have a very small kitchen so I don't know that i'd have room to store it (we don't even have a crock pot!). But Cooking Light did a whole section on ice cream making and ice cream makers a few months back and it looked sooooooo yummy and fairly easy to do . If I had one I think that I would make frozen yogurt.

I make frozen yogurt in mine and it turns out great. It is soft at first, but after it sits in the freezer for a bit, it is perfect Tastes very fresh!

I got one.

It's a self-contained unit, meaning that it has it's own built-in sealed refrigerating system!

It makes luscious ice cream! When making more than one batch, I leave the main switch on for additional quantities using extra bowls that fit into the freezing chamber.

No ice or salt is ever needed! No prefreezing any bowls in the freezer either! No messy salty water to have to dump.
