I am wondering if anyone out there has a cast iron griddle that has it's own heating element. Basically an electric cast iron griddle, just like any other electric griddle. If any one has even ever heard about such a thing and knows where I might look to find one I would appreciate it. I just love the flavor you get from cast iron and would really love to have a griddle that I don't have to put on the stove (range) to use. It would be so much easier to plug it into the wall and get to cooking.

I think you're meaning a heavy electric griddle. If so, see this post starting at that location and reading on. There are several griddle recommendations there.
I too would love to have a big griddle to cook omelets, burgers and things on. |
