Yeah- that damned Billy Macy... although I like to look at his rugged bearded handsome-ness... he's sure a screamer! What the hellz that all about? Only ones who scream more on TV are that fake annoying steroid-injecting buffed-up work-out dude who wears the hat with the fake pony-tail... or that crew-cutted/flat-top dudette Susan Powter who screamed "Stop The Madness!" at the top of her lungs for years. (at least Richard Simmons has finally piped-down somewhat, though! Jeez- what's with the OUT-GAGIOUS-ness?)

Whatever happened to that sensible idea on the old seventies perfume commercial that said: "If You Want To Capture Someone's Attention- WHISPER..."?

Basic rule of advertising: If you want to capture peoples attention the ad has to be either very good or very obnoxious.

Being as the level of advertising talent is all but non-existent, lately, they are forced to go the obnoxious route.

It's a sad indictment of the American public that it works. Billy is either the #2 or #3 (depends who's counting) salesman in media today.
