I'm not really into the gadgets and fancy equipment, per se- Brook. I am happy with the bare bones necessities, really. Give me a knife or two, a cast iron dutch oven & skillet, my kitchen aid and a Behr immersion stick blender, and I'm ready to go!
As far as a dream kitchen- I'm more into the aesthetic things: a deep double basin soapstone sink, lotsa light wood and windows for natural light, some copper, a centrally-postioned work island, a built-in marble slab for kneading and candy/chocolate work, cool ceramic tile floor- all in VERY COMPACT MINIMAL space... (oh- and also ART... I love to be surrounded by my collection of framed vintage kitchen photos and bright colorful kitchen art and cookbook collection.
