Wow MAMA , I love your openness !! ...To keep spammers off my blogs I made sure that when they leave a comment It will not get published without my approval 1st , this way when they pretend to leave me a comment like ... love your blog signed john dow and then they place their blog URL as a signature ...I refuse to publish that because you know darn well they could care less about whats in my blog, all they want is to advertise their own blog !

I have 3 of my own blogs so far - with thoughts of a couple more. All comments need to be approved first. I know what you mean with the jerks that just want to advertise their blogs on someone else's.

Mine are still new - and as soon as I build up enough followers I've got a few things up my sleeve for everyone.

I just last month started a giveaway on one because most of the people that read that particular blog are people that i am very close to and have made them things , so I know they appreciate the win as much as I enjoy making it for them .

It's hard - you want to trust people - you know that you can be trusted - and it makes it difficult. You don't want to be rude but what can you do? They are like roaches lately - all over the net - they advertise anything on any site - they just don't care. and they are about as welcomed as roaches too.

Mama is correct. There are a lot of spammers who could care less about the rest of the world. I wanna stay away from Mama's wooden spoon, that is for sure.

p.s. I too have a few blogs that I require approval on the comments due to the amount of spam - oh boy, ******, nekid moovie stars, cheap cigs, ... I feel the pain!

I have a blog on Multiply. It's is just a blog though that is used to keep in touch with friends. We share what life deals out, hobbies and recipes and such. Talk about work, even the weather, lol. No one sells anything. Not every blog out there is spam. No one I know out of 100 plus friends is selling anything.
