For those of us who love poached eggs, but do not have an egg poacher, there is an easy and fast way to make them.
Just take a pan with water in it, bring it to a boil and then drop in your egg, if you want more than one egg, use a larger pan. In one to three minutes it will be done depending on how you like them. If you use a cover, they will cook faster, but you dont have to use a cover. Also, if you are interested in saving electricity or gas, you can reuse the water for making hard boiled eggs after you scoup your poached egg out. That gives you two for the price of one cooking, lol! |
