magicalmolly-

If you're for real- welcome- we're glad you're here and we want you to feel at home... Last thing we wish to do is chase away a new friend! We'd love to know more about you!

We're a tight bunch- friendly and full of fun & knowledge... but we've been oddly plagued lately with tons of "spammers" and we're getting to where we can usually spot one at fifty paces, with one eye shut! They usually either push a product right away in vague empty posts, posting only once and then never returning... or they provide a link to their "place".

Normally when new members climb aboard they introduce themselves- offer a bit about where they're from, their walk of life, what they enjoy cooking and eating... So your first post caught us off guard 'cause it didn't really follow any of the "usual rules". I think the impression everyone here first got was that we definitely had another spammer on our hands. And until we're sure... well, hopefully you catch my drift.

So- if you're legit- please accept my humble apology on behalf of us all- please come in and share away- and let's all just start over! (But if you are indeed a spammer- please hit the road and stop dragging this out!) We're hopeful- but not completely convinced just yet... -kevin (chubbyalaskagriz)

fair enough. in the meantime while people were calling me a spammer, i actually found some good places for what i was asking, like recipesecrets.com, MyDailyMoment.com, and thecookingnews.com. Anyway, if you'd like for me to introduce myself more than I did, I'm in my late twenties, work in graphic design and have a baby on the way. Is that specific enough, haha?

Wow anyone who is a graphic designer and new to the internet is a paradox to me! And so glad you found those sites and were so nice to share them with us folks here at Spice Place Seems to me a darned good number of us actually extended friendly and warm welcomes to you and yet you totally focused only on the "spammer" replies, never once addressed those of us who were friendly and welcoming. You know even if you had a web-site you would like to share you went about it in a totally dishonest way, which makes me not interested in them at all. You really should re-group and try an honest approach next time. Just a suggestion...........

Default Hi,

I found a website that has helped me (so far) with organizing my recipes and cooking schedule. Check out TabUp.com. You can have recipes delivered to your TabUp page (via RSS), schedule your recipes for the week on a calendar and keep a running grocery list (all without leaving your TabUp page). Check it out!
