Smile What Are Your Favorite Cool Weather Recipes?

The weather has cooled down and Fall is here. When the weather cools down I find myself making big thick pots of chili, soups & stews along with a nice loaf of fresh bread. What are some of your favorite cool weather dishes and recipes? I have a ton of apples so I have made apple everything the last week lol. Apple cobbler, apple pies, apple rolls, apple muffins, apple butter and apple sauce. I cannot tell you how much sugar I have gone through

My house in the summer is an oven. We haven't not gotten around to installing AC yet so for the past 2 years we have suffered the heat. At those times I stay away from my favorite type of cooking - braises and roasts. Now that it's cooling down I can finally turn on the oven again.

It has just started to cool down enough here for me to use the oven again to.

Come cooler weather I crave baked goods, janie... By November I'm needin' the aromas of cinnamon, pumpkin, maple and mincemeat in my nostrils! Not to mention the richness of a turkey & sage-dressing, the smokiness of a whole ham, and the yeasty satisfaction of rolls & loaves of every type.

And like everyone else, I also enjoy thick, rich gravy-laden stews, soups and bubbling casseroles & bakes. Yum!

I love to make Chili and soups in cooler weather. My family especially loves potatoe soup and Taco soup.
