Leftovers Yes or No?
Do you like leftovers? I like some things I make leftover but not everything.
For instance I do not like much pasta leftover. I think it gets soggy and I hate that. I like lasagna and other baked pasta dishes warmed back up but I do not care for spaghetti reheated. I like pasta in soup but not leftover. The pasta sucks up to much liquid from the soup and gets soggy.

Jimmy ( hubby ) will very rarely eat leftovers...I don't like pasta either as a leftover.

I mostly love left overs. There are few things that I wouldn't enjoy again the next day. With pasta it depends. If it's lasagna, mac & cheese or some other baked pasta then I don't mind at all but if it's something like al olio then I'm not going to enjoy it as much. In the later case you can add some egg and make it into a spaghetti sort of fritata. Then I'm good to go again.

You know what we do with leftover spaghetti? We have FRIED spaghetti! Man, now that is good. My mother used to make it all the time when I was a kid with the leftovers but I totally forgot about it until about 5 years or so ago.
It really isn't that hard, just mix together the leftover sauce and spaghetti, add a little canola or olive oil to a large skillet and heat to medium high or high and add the mixture. Constantly break up with a spatula, and press on to the pan. Flip it over every, say 4-5 minutes when it darkens on one side and repeat that for about 15 minutes or so. You want it chopped up pretty good, almost a long rice size. You also want it to crust up each time you flip it. Break it up with each flip. Makes a great meal or side dish.
Oh yeah, I wrote this down on my site back in March 07:

Leftovers can be fun to work with! there is quite a bit you can do with them. I always make too much pasta - I still cook for an army at times.
You can always turn it into a casserole with a bit more sauce, cheese, peppers, etc. - just about anything you want.
The trick is to make your leftovers look and taste like they aren't leftovers!

We do some left over, we usually eat it up or toss it. We always have left over Popeye's chicken it's good. Cookie

Life is not complete without leftovers. Lots of leftovers get frozen in individuals servings and become new meals. Little leftovers go in the refrigerator and calls on the creative juices of other foods to make a new meal....or being lazy just becomes a lunch or snack.

Refusing to eat leftovers is another one of those weird and whacky traits my family has that I coulda very well discussed back over on the thread about finickiness! AGGGHHH!
I guess as someone who'll eat and enjoy and be thankful for darned near anything- finicky folks (at my own table- that I have to cook for) will always irk me.

I usually love left overs but some things that I can't have as left overs are:
Soup - unless it's legume soup. I don't like brothy soups reheated.
Fish or seafood - no way no how
creamy pasta - it has to be reinvented before I'll reheat a carbonara
-
To me soup is one of the best leftovers but I'll agree with you on the fish. It's pretty much impossible to reheat with out over cooking it. If I have something like left over grilled shrimp I will eat it cold the next day.
