    Talking Your Thanksgiving Menu?

Have you worked out what you are making for Thanksgiving dinner?
I am either making a small herb roasted turkey or sherry duck. I plan to make oyster dressing, macaroni and cheese, herb roasted potatoes, salad, rolls and dessert. Jon doesnt like many sides and Thanksgiving is just the two of us. Christmas is the one I really have to cook for lol.

I'm going w/ my sister's family to her inlaws this year, janie. Her mother-in-law is a great cook, but doesn't like to bake- so I volunteered to do most of the baking. My sister will take "special" pumpkin pies (her son cannot eat cinnamon) , but I will take 3 things: 1.) pumpkin cheesecake, 2.) cranberry eggnog pie, and 3.) deep dish pecan pie.

I'm having Thanksgiving this year, my turn. I have my turkey in the freezer, will stuff it with apples, onions, and lemon wedges in the neck, and petriidge farm herbed stuffing the other end. MY menu consists of: Turkey, stuffing, spinach pie, cauliflower steamed, green bean casserole, corn on the cob(lets) mashed potato's and gravy, lemon-risotto and cranberry. I will have fresh baked french bread and butter. Appetizers: deviled ham and pineapple pinwheels, cut vegetables with cranberry cream dip, and stuffed cherry tomato's with cheese. Dessert: Amaretto Cheese cake, Apple, Pumpkin, and Blackberry/Cherry Pie and Molasses Spice Cookies with Ginger Sugar.

I have not worked out what I'm going to cook. We are having Thanksgiving with my Hubby's family so I will cook something to take. My side of the family never gets together on Holidays.

Im def going to be doing a herb roasted turkey. I will wait and do a duck for Christmas. I was at WalMart about a week ago and they didnt have any duck so turkey it is. They usually get the duck and goose in closer to Christmas. If not..Krogers has them. They are just high. I priced lamb last time I was at Sams and it was $22 or more for a 3-4 pound piece of lamb. That is a tad out of my price range right now lol.
