Fish-Fry

Hey Gang!

Well, enjoyed a fine supper w/ family and friends at my sister's tonight. She invited a house-full for a catfish fry and a game of canasta.

Her hubby set-up the big ole portable deep-fryer out on the deck and I contributed the peanut-oil. While Karla was dippin' the fillets and whole, bone-in/tail-attached fish into her secret seasoned cornmeal, her kids and I whipped-up pineapple cole slaw and crunchy cashew-broccoli salad... I also took a rum bundt that I had frozen from Christmas.

After the hams, turkeys and other traditional holiday grub, it was nice to munch on something totally unrelated to Thanksgivng/Christmas- and along that vein, I guess it don't get any more anti-holiday than catfish- Hee!

(BTW- I was SMEARED at canasta!)
