I made a large pot of beef stew today. Should be enough for me to bring it for work every day this up coming week too.

I finally had the chili dogs I have been craving today with the left over chili from last night. They really hit the spot. We have Sabrete Hot Dogs here. They are the best hot dogs I have ever eaten.

My meal at work tonight was a big wedge of mushroom/swiss cheese quiche a dish of fruit salad grabbed from the Kroger's salad bar, and a pumpernickel roll.

I love sausage and peppers. I recently blogged over on Multiply with a sausage and peppers recipe. It's strange how my southern friends have never heard of such a thing. here in the northeast they are a favorite. Just the smell of it cooking drives me insane.

I had a little dilema I thought I had a backup of sphaghetti sauce I was about to serve the sausage and peppers and found out no sphaghetti sauce so while I was serving the other dishes I quickly cut up tomatoes and green peppers a dash of black pepper and garlic and italing seasoning sauted this quickly used my crusher to crush all ingredients to a pulp to make my sauce thicker to serve WOW I was sweating sausage and peppers without sphaghetti sauce is a no no and just two nights ago I made fajitas without sour cream I suggested ranch dressing instead

Took the leftover chili and made chili-cheese dogs!!! Wonderful, too good! I do not care if it's fattening I wish I had the self-control of my youthful days! Now I simply feel life is too short to be deprived of something that tastes so great!

Default dinner

Today we are having one of my husband's co-workers and his family over for dinner. I'm making a salad with romaine, shallots, kiwi berries and feta with a raspberry dressing. Cocoa spiced slow roasted pork with onions, roasted broccoli, smashed potatoes and for dessert I made a double layer gluten free carot cake with cream cheese frosting.
