I admit that I like to go all out when entertaining. Including appetizers. But if ever there was a meal all year long that didn't really require ahead-of-time nibblers, it would be Thanksgiving! It just seems there are always SO MANY LEFTOVERS- and the apps just add to them. Sometimes it seems w/ the multiple sides, and the sometimes multiple proteins- apps aren't really even that necessary.

Do you do Turkey-Day Apps? Do you go all out- or keep it real simple?

Not sure but I think all of it ends up as some sort of appetizers. I myself like snacking on whatever stuffing doesn't go in the bird, and of course one of the joys of cooking for me anyway is sampling along the way...................gotta make sure it tastes good ya know ;)

Traditionally my Grandmother just put out a dish of pickles and olives. I still do the same. You hate to let everyone get filled up on munchies before the big meal, but you've got to have a little something for those who start drinking as soon as they arrive!
