I'am starting to give my daughter different snack foods (she's the one allergic to milk, nuts and eggs) does anyone know of any snacks that are free of the things she's allergic too like crackers or little treats anything? Thanks.

gosh, that's tough. I give my kids things like peanut butter crackers, Laughing Cow cheese on crackers, fruit gummies, etc.
I guess I would suggest going to the organic section (that's where the soy etc. stuff lives in my local supermarket anyway) and seeing what all they have there. I know they have soy cheese, at least. Maybe you could start with soy cheese? |

Here arre snacks that i eat (b/c i have similar dietary restrictions):
Pitas, you could toast these as well and serve with hummus, sunflower sed buttr, or jam dried fruits and veggies (just tomatoes is one brand) fresh fruits/veggies kashi makes crackers she can have i think chips and salsa fruit leather fruit smoothies with rice protein powder jello applesauce cereal if she's not allergic to soy then she can have frozen waffles and lots of breads Annie's makes dairy-free pop-tarts It will be more $$ tosupply her with snacks but there are a lot of options especially in the health food aisle, |

Add-on. Every so often, I am supposed to take care of snacktime at my kids' preschool, but there's restrictions: no peanuts, no peanut oils, no peanut products. Not sure what to send for snacks, as, naturally, my kids' #1 snack are peanut butter crackers. I don't have a lot of time to check ingredients of tons of snack potentials for a class of a dozen two-year-olds...any suggestions?
(in other words, is there a ready-to-go snack -- say fig newtons and apple juice? -- that would work, rather than one I'll have to prepare in bulk?) |
