    Default Food Storage Containers

I had to replace my food storage containers today. My old set was rubbermaid and about three years old. They were wore out! To many trips to my fil's for Sunday supper and holiday dinners. I got a plastic set and a glass set with lids this time around.

One was a Fresh Keeper 58 piece plastic set and the other is an anchor hocking 32 piece glass set. I am going to need them around the holidays bad.

Just about everything I have/use now are FoodSaver containers and bags, especially now with the new zipper vacuum-seal bags and hand units.

I do have a few of those plastic semi-disposable containers that handle any temporary needs.

I need the plastic for taking food to other places. Food saver would be handy for when I buy meat in bulk. I put it into smaller servings and put it into my freezer. I also freeze some of my dried herbs from the garden in the summer.

During the holidays and on Sundays I take tons of food to my father in laws. I couldnt afford all of the bags I would have to buy for that lol.

I like Lock & Lock containers. They seal well and do fine in the freezer.

I was all tupperware back in the 70's - and then I started with some rubbermaid - now - it's whatever I find that I like and does the job I want it to do - I buy it. Tupperware and rubbermaid as well as the rest - do get worn out from use. I don't mind replacing my plastics - they go through a lot!
