Another co-worker tonight actually insists it IS homemade. He says the one end looks like a mis-shapen/mal-formed spoon, and he claims the handle looks like it was extracted from something else all together and that it was likely used for another purpose, all together. Then the two pieces welded together for a new purpose. Hmmm... Everyone's a scientist! Hee-Hee!
