What is your definition of COMFORT FOOD?
My all time favorite comfort foods would have to be: Deviled Eggs and Meatloaf. Not together of-course

Meatloaf is probably the #1 comfort food in America, or at least the blue collar America that I am a part of.
Mac n Cheese, Pizza, heck, I can think of thousands if you let me.

Comfort food to me means the kind of stuff my Mom made. It puts a smile on your face and stomach
Big pots of soup with bread, chicken and dumplings, deviled eggs, buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, turkey and dressing, meatloaf, mac & cheese, roasted chicken, lasagna, pizza..oh gosh there are to many to list.

Comfort foods are those put-together family favorites made my mom and gram, enjoyed by everyone - anything from casseroles, stews, pastas, baked goods, meats - you name it. It is something that brings back some fabulous memories - and many cannot be duplicated today!

my comfort food is anything that doesnt affect my stomach

CAG,
You gotta stop it NOW!!!!!!!! I am dying here, did my Mom somehow have 2 families and you're my secret Brother? Gosh those are like things I would die for! And you know try as I may I have NEVER been able to actually duplicate my Mom's goulash exactly like it tasted when she made it!

Well hey there, long-lost sis! Ha!
My Mom's secret was the unusual sweet tang provided to the tomato sauce by a can of Campbell's tomato soup! To the bowned ground beef, onions, green bell peppers, and elbow macaroni she added her rich tomato suace that included tomato puree, tomato paste, etc... but then she also added the undiluted canned soup... really made a world of difference and it was the taste in her goulash all those years that none of us could ever figure out.
