Default Oven Temperature Chart

Some recipes just state temperature descriptions or approximations, and not exact ones. This list (which is the American Standard) may come in handy in such cases:

Oven Temperature Chart

Very cool - 225°F

Cool - 275°F

Moderate - 350°F

Hot - 425°F

Very hot - 475°F

Yes, you are right. I have came across a lot of recipes which do not indicate the exact temperature. I am just starting to learn baking and this would really help me a lot. Thank you tinker for sharing this information.
