Smile Apple Egg Rolls

Apple Egg Rolls

SERVES 12
4 medium granny smith apples
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
12 egg roll wraps
oil (for frying)
powdered sugar, for dusting

Peel and Chop Apples (pieces should be about the size of peas).
Melt Butter in a saute pan on MEDIUM. Add Brown Sugar and Cinnamon.
Stir to combine.
Add Apples to Butter/Sugar Mixture, saute until Apples begin to soften (about 3-4 minutes).
Remove from heat.
Divide Apple mixture between 12 eggroll wrappers.
Roll eggrolls and seal with water if needed.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown (1-2 minutes).
Drain on paper towels.
Dust generously with powdered sugar.

I havent made them yet. I got the recipe from another site. I picked up the eggrolls at the store a few days ago so I will be trying them soon. We have alot of apples right now. My FIL has 6 apples trees.

Yeah he freezes alot of apples.
I made some apple jam and preserves. I even dried some the other day lol.

This sounds fast and easy Janie...I'll have to try it. We love fried apple pies and this sounds great too.

I made a batch of these tonight.
I added nutmeg to them and had to use cornstarch to get the filling to thicken up.
They make fast and tasty fried apple pies.
You def want to let the filling cool down before rolling the pies.
