Is there such thing as yeast allergy and what do they call it? I found a lot of recipes for bread without yeast.

I have heard of folks who are gluten and or whaet intolerant, but I do not recall anyone with an actual yeast allergy. I imagine that there could be. I love yeast bread and have no known allergy to anything, well except people with bad attitudes. I do not see how it would hurt to try the non-yeast breads and see what they are like. Of-course I would rather fight than switch! I love yeast breads

There is so much natural yeast in the air we breath and in certain areas it is very abundant. It would be very hard on a person health wise if there y were alergic to it.

You can actually make a starter for a bread dough by letting a mixture of flour and water collect the yeast in the air, such as a sour dough bread starter.

I'm not even going in the direction of yeast infections, lol.
