Default Ripe tomatoes

Does anyone have any tips on how to pick nice ripe tomatoes? I always seem to get ones that are not ripe enough or over ripe. Any tips would be appreciated.

I just grab the red ones I know that I have not been that big of a help sorry.

They should be nice and red, without green or yellow on them. You can usually tell if they're overripe because they start getting too soft. Bright red firm tomatoes should be just right.

Yes, firm & red .. look out for the green/yellow spots... and obviously look out for mooshy brown/black parts.
