I like baking with yeast as well. A lot of my friends are scared of it, but I don't see the issue. It takes a bit of time for all the rising, but the results are worth the while. You have to be careful that the liquid is not too hot and doesn't kill the yeast, but other than that, it's no big thing.

Although, I'm much more inclined to bake bread on a cool fall day rather than in the summertime when it's 100+ degrees every day. These days, I prefer to use my oven as little as possible.
