    Default Chocalate Truffles

I have started a tradition of making homemade tuffles every christmas for my mom and brothers. I would like some advise on getting them perfectly round like you see in the stores. Does anyone have any ideas in this reagard?

Try using a melon baller for uniform size and shape.

That's a good idea. I should try to make those. They sound really good right now.

What about a tablespoon measuring spoon. Not sure if that will be big enough. If not Mama's idea of a melon scooper would be the right size.

There are smaller "ice cream scoops" that can be used for making cookies and candies which sometimes make it easier to remove from the scoop. They are also good for making appetizer size meatballs, etc.

I have a small cookie scoop, which has turned into a lifesaver this year with all of the cookies and truffle like stuff I'm making. (I got it at walmart, it's Oneida)

There are multiple uses for the cookie or ice cream scoop. It is great to use for fruits such as melons and making meatballs.
